The Veryl Johnson Football Scholarship
 Why we place a "VJ" on our LTYA Football Jerseys...LTYA Football owes much of its existence to the dedication and vision of Veryl Johnson. Many of us remember Veryl as the voice of LTYA Football as he announced games each weekend. As one of the founding members of youth football in the Lake Travis are, Veryl helped fund, organize, coach and grow our program from 25 players and cheerleaders in the mid 1990's to over 400 participants today. Veryl also established a scholarship fund for graduating high school seniors. The annual Veryl Johnson Scholarships are awarded to past LTYA participants who have demonstrated excellence in academics and community service.
